Warradale Park

Warradale Park wraps a paved loop around a central lake in Landsdale, and the reason to come is the rule. The City of Wanneroo lists it as a dog exercise area, so dogs can be off lead here under effective control.

Off-lead, with limits

Off-lead does not cover everything. Keep dogs away from the fenced playground and other play equipment, and clip on when the park is busy.

Your dog needs to come back when called, because the loop is shared with families and walkers.

The walk

A concrete path circles the lake, which doubles as a stormwater wetland, with mown grass on either side. It is flat, paved and easy to follow.

Shade is patchy. There are some shaded picnic and seating spots, but parts of the path and the open grass are in full sun.

What's on hand

Drinking fountains with low dog bowls sit near the main path, and bins line the edge of the park. Parking bays are near the playground off Warradale Terrace and Southmead Drive.

When to go

Early mornings are best in summer, before the open grass heats up. It suits social dogs with a reliable recall.
