Kingsway Fenced Dog Park

Kingsway Fenced Dog Park is a fully fenced, off-leash exercise area inside the Kingsway Regional Sporting Complex in Madeley, with separate enclosures for small dogs and all dogs, plus double-gated entries so nobody bolts on the way in.

The rules. Dogs must be under effective voice control at all times, even inside the fence. Owners are expected to stay in the park and supervise, and to clean up immediately (bins are provided).

What's there. Both enclosures have irrigated grass and mulched zones, a sand digging pit, plenty of natural shade, bench seating, basic agility equipment, and an all-access drinking tap with a tippable bowl. A path network runs through the complex, and recreational lighting keeps the park usable from 6pm to 10pm.

Getting there. The park sits on the corner of Hartman Drive and Sporting Drive, easily reached from Hepburn Avenue or Gnangara Road. Parking is free and sits right by the gated entrances, so there's no long carry for water bowls or gear. Transperth buses run along Kingsway, though you'll likely have a short walk in from the stop.

Nearby with the dogs. Banksia Food Co., inside the Kingsway Indoor Stadium next door, has a dog-friendly courtyard and does puppuccinos, making it an easy stop before or after a run around.

Sunday mornings and evenings, plus Wednesday and Thursday evenings, are the busiest windows. Weekday mid-mornings or early afternoons are quieter if your dog prefers space over socialising, and the lighting means an after-work visit in winter is still an option.
