Muzz Buzz - Girrawheen

Muzz Buzz Girrawheen is the drive-thru and walk-up coffee outlet at the Newpark Shopping Centre on Marangaroo Drive, and it is one of the more reliably dog-friendly quick stops in Perth's northern suburbs, with staff regularly handing out free treats for pets riding along or walking past.

The dog setup

The format is drive-thru first, so the easiest visit with a dog is from the car. Walk-up service works too, but there is no courtyard or seating to speak of, just the shopping centre's common walkways, so plan it as a grab-and-go. Bring your own water bowl, and ask at the window whether pup cups are on the day, the chain runs them as promotions across its stores rather than as an everyday guarantee.

Pepsi: Free biscuits at the window make this an easy add-on to a walk loop, just don't expect anywhere to sit and linger with your dog.

The vibe

Fast and cheerful. The menu covers coffee, shakes, frappes and hot chocolates with muffins and granola pots for the cabinet, and the staff get a good wrap for friendliness. Doors open from 6am on weekdays, which makes it a natural first stop on the morning loop.

Getting there

The store sits at 64 Marangaroo Drive inside the Newpark Shopping Centre, with free parking across the centre car park. Drive-thru access means you never need to leave the dog in the car to order.

Close by with the dogs

For a proper run, the fenced Balga Fenced Dog Park is a few minutes south. If you would rather upgrade the coffee stop into a sit-down one, Reid Wright & Co and the Lakeview Cafe in Kingsley are the neighbourhood's dog-friendly alternatives.
