Espresso 57

Espresso 57 is a specialty coffee shop at Unit 2/57 Prosperity Avenue in Wangara, an industrial suburb north of Perth that quietly does some of the city's best coffee. It is a popular pitstop for locals out on a morning walk or run, and the outdoor and footpath tables out front are where dogs fit in.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor and footpath seating, not inside the cafe. Staff are happy to bring out a fresh water bowl on request, and while there is no pup menu on print, they have a good reputation for sorting out a dog-friendly treat if you ask. The forecourt is open and uncomplicated, so it suits a dog that plants itself happily at your feet while you drink.

In the cup

The coffee is the reason people come, from straight espresso to the loaded iced numbers like the Biscoff and pistachio lattes that fill social feeds. Food runs to breakfast wraps, bacon and egg bagels, pies and fresh pastries, all built for speed rather than ceremony. Locals also point to the welcoming baristas and fair wait times by Wangara standards.

Getting there and parking

Free parking sits directly out front, but the bays fill through the weekday morning tradie and commuter rush, so the later morning is calmer for both parking and a quiet outdoor table. It opens 5:30am weekdays, 6:30am Saturday, and closes Sundays, which makes it an early-shift staple rather than a weekend brunch spot.

While you are out there

Wangara is more industrial estate than parkland, so most visits are coffee-first. If you want to string a dog-friendly morning together, Nook & Co Cafe and Motorbean are nearby stops other locals pair into their loops.
