Tallowwood Lake Walk

Tallowwood Park on Rose Valley Drive in Upper Coomera pairs a flat lap of the lake with a fenced off-leash yard, so you get a walk and a run in one stop.

Leads and the off-lead area

The City of Gold Coast requires dogs on lead on the main lakeside track. Inside the fenced exercise area they can roam free, and dogs are not allowed in the children's playground.

The walk

The track is paved concrete with boardwalk sections, easy for prams and wheelchairs. It circles the water past grassy parkland, native plantings, playgrounds and picnic shelters.

Water and shade

Drinking fountains and taps serve people and dogs, and bag dispensers and bins sit near the enclosure. Mature trees and covered tables give some shade.

Pepsi: A lap of the lake, then the agility gear in the fenced yard. That is a full morning.

Getting started

Parking bays, including accessible spaces, are close to the entry, with toilets and barbecues in the park.
