Robelle Domain Parklands

Robelle Domain Parklands, in Springfield Central next to Springfield Lakes, has more than 11 kilometres of wide paved paths and boardwalks. Dogs are welcome throughout, as long as they stay on lead.

Lead rules

Ipswich City Council requires dogs to be on lead on the parkland paths and boardwalks. For off-lead time, Sirius Off Leash Park is nearby in Springfield Central.

The walk

The paths move from open lawns to rainforest walks and shaded boardwalk, with waterfalls, art installations and the Orion Lagoon along the way. The paved surface gives steady footing in any weather.

Mature trees, shade sails and picnic shelters help on hot days, though the central lawns are exposed. Bubblers and bins sit along the paths and near the amenity blocks.

Spring Lake offers another lakeside walk, and Remedy Espresso Cafe is handy for a coffee.

When to go

Parking gets busy on weekends and event days, so a weekday or an early start is easier. The flat, paved paths suit prams and older dogs alike.
