Two Creeks Track: Echo Point Park to Gordon Creek

Two Creeks Track runs from Echo Point Park in Roseville Chase down toward Gordon Creek, tracing sandstone caves, mangrove flats and Middle Harbour water views before climbing back through gully bushland. It is a proper Sydney bushwalk you can do with a dog, with one hard condition: lead on the whole way.

The walk

Reckon on about 9.8 km return to Gordon Creek and back, taking most walkers two and a half to three hours, though the route is flexible and you can turn around whenever your dog has had enough. The grade is moderate, with rock scrambling and tree roots underfoot, so it suits a fit dog better than a puppy or an older dog with sore hips.

Leash status

Ku-ring-gai Council requires dogs on lead through Echo Point Park, the track itself and the waterfront, and rangers patrol regularly rather than occasionally. The critical limit sits further along: parts of the route cross Garigal National Park, where dogs are prohibited entirely, even on lead, and national park rules override the council allowance.

Water and hazards

There are water views throughout but no off-leash swimming anywhere on the track or waterfront, and no reliable drinking water on route, so carry enough for both of you. After heavy rain the section under the Eastern Arterial Road, which runs through a stormwater tunnel, can become impassable, so check conditions before committing.

Getting there and parking

Free parking sits at Echo Point Park on Babbage Road, Roseville Chase, which also has toilets, a playground, electric BBQs and shaded picnic tables for the post-walk sit-down. The park itself is a decent staging point even if you only do part of the track.
