Echo on the Marina Roseville

Echo on the Marina sits within Roseville Bridge Marina at 15 Normac Street, Roseville Chase, with the deck looking out over Middle Harbour and the boats moored a few metres away. The venue's own FAQs spell out the dog arrangement: there is a section of dog friendly tables, so with a booking note this is one of the more properly waterfront lunches you can do with a dog on Sydney's north shore.

The dog setup

Dogs are only permitted at the designated dog friendly tables on the deck, and only on a lead. The important part is timing: let staff know when you book that you are bringing a dog so they can allocate you an appropriate table, because not all tables take dogs. Walk-ins with a dog are a gamble on weekends.

Pepsi: ask for the end of the dog section, you get the rail and the boats and nobody squeezes past your tail.

Worth knowing

The kitchen runs breakfast and lunch around seafood, mussels, pasta and brunch classics, with coffee and cocktails covering the rest. Hours are Wednesday to Thursday 9am to 3pm and Friday to Sunday 8am to 3pm, closed Monday and Tuesday. Wet weather is handled: the undercover dining area is fully enclosed with heaters and drop-down clears, though that indoor area is where the dog rule bites, so a rainy day is best saved for a non-dog visit.

Getting there and parking

Free parking is available within the marina itself, though spaces are limited, plus Normac Street and the surrounding roads up top. There is an inclinator for step-free access down to the venue, and you can even arrive by boat, with casual berthing for customers when available.

While you're out there

Echo Park is right beside the marina, with a small beach and a step-free path down, an easy on-lead stretch either side of the table. For a longer walk, Two Creeks Track Teaser starts in the same suburb and Little Digger Track is close by in Roseville.
