Robert Sowter Park

Robert Sowter Park sits on the ridge along Main Western Road at Tamborine Mountain, with a wide view west over the Scenic Rim. Dogs are welcome on a lead, and on a good day you can watch hang gliders launch off the edge.

Lead rules

Scenic Rim Regional Council's park is an on-lead space, so keep your dog leashed across the grass and at the lookouts.

What to expect

This is a short lookout stop rather than a long walk. Paved viewing areas, some wheelchair accessible, sit beside an open grassed ridge where you can wander with the dog.

Bins are near the car park and lookout. There is no water for dogs, so bring a bowl and a bottle.

Max: Gliders running off the ridge can startle a dog. Keep a short lead near the launch area.
