McAlpin Reserve Accessible Walk

The McAlpin Reserve Accessible Walk is a sealed, wide loop around the lake at McAlpin Reserve on Wonga Road, Ringwood North. Smooth underfoot and easy on older legs, it suits a gentle on-lead walk.

Lead rules

Maroondah City Council manages the reserve. Keep dogs on lead on the loop unless a sign on site marks otherwise, and give the playground a wide berth.

The walk

The path circles a lake with ducks, under a canopy of large garden trees. It is designed to be accessible, so prams and wheelchairs share the loop.

Bring water and a bowl for the dog, plus bags.

Max: Ducks right beside the path test any dog's manners. Keep the lead short near the water's edge.
