Pine Rivers Park

Pine Rivers Park on Gympie Road is a broad riverside parkland in Strathpine with wide paved paths, plenty of shade and water fountains. Dogs are welcome on a leash.

Lead rules

The City of Moreton Bay requires dogs to be kept on a leash at all times here, and out of the playground areas.

The walk

The perimeter path is wide concrete and asphalt. It skirts open grassy floodplain, groves of mature trees, a nine-hole disc golf course and glimpses of the South Pine River.

Water fountains are along the grounds, bins are spread throughout, and covered picnic shelters add to the tree shade. The grass is well kept, with few bindis.

Getting there

Free parking is on site, though it fills quickly on weekends and during big community events.

Rob Akers Reserve Dog Park in Strathpine has a fenced off-lead area, and Quick Bliss Acai & Bagel Bar is nearby for a snack.

When to go

Weekday mornings avoid the weekend parking rush. The wide, paved loop suits older dogs and prams alike.
