Kurwongbah Drive Bush Corridor

Tucked behind the houses of Petrie, the Kurwongbah Drive Bush Corridor is an informal bush track that starts near 53 Kurwongbah Drive, past the small playground park. It is a shaded, low-traffic walk, and dogs should stay on lead because it is not a designated off-lead area.

The track

The path is natural dirt under a canopy of native trees, with birdlife overhead and residential fences along the sides. You can do a simple out and back, loop toward Oberong Court, or follow a longer track up past the water tower toward Torrens Road.

Before you go

A bin and a bag roll sit at the start, but there is no water on the track, so carry a bowl. Parking is on the street along Kurwongbah Drive.

Locals treat it as a relaxed spot, but the City of Moreton Bay rule is the one to follow: lead on.

Try the paths at Mungarra Reserve, then grab a coffee at Striker Coffee Co.

Good on hot days thanks to the shade, and for dogs that prefer bush smells to open ovals.
