Penson Park Fenced Dog Park

Penson Park Fenced Dog Park is the off-leash area inside Penson Park on Ann Street in Kallangur, next to Kruger Hall. It's a fully fenced, community-favourite spot with shaded grass and a small agility set-up, and it's popular enough that locals sometimes just call it the Ann Street dog park.

The rules. Dogs can only be off-leash inside the fenced area, everywhere else in the wider park they need to be on a lead. Owners must supervise and keep control at all times, and clean up immediately, waste bags are provided. Remove aggressive or unruly dogs straight away, and keep an eye out for kids using the nearby playground.

What's there. Drinking water is available on site, along with shaded picnic seating, a small agility area, and toilets in the broader Penson Park grounds. The fenced yard is mostly grass with good tree shade.

Getting there. The entrance is off Ann Street, with a dedicated car park at the facility, so parking is usually straightforward outside peak times.

Nearby with the dogs. Drift Coffee Company in Scarborough is a well-known pupaccino stop if you don't mind a short drive, and the wider North Lakes and Griffin area has several cafes with outdoor seating that accept dogs.

When to go. Early mornings (7-9am) and late afternoons (4-6pm) on weekdays draw the biggest crowds, along with Saturday mornings. Weekday midday is your best bet for a quiet run, and the shaded trees are worth using on hot afternoons.
