Jamieson Park

Jamieson Park is a 42.8 hectare reserve on the southern shore of Narrabeen Lagoon, with calm water, bushland and water birds. It joins the flat, sealed Narrabeen Lagoon Trail, which makes it an easy on-lead walk.

Lead rules

Northern Beaches Council has declared the park a Wildlife Protection Area. Dogs must be on a lead at all times.

The walk

A sealed shared path runs through the park as part of the lagoon trail, without harsh steps. Mature trees and bushland give plenty of shade.

Share the path with bikes and runners, and keep your dog clear of the birds along the shore.

Getting started

Access is via The Esplanade in Narrabeen. Parking fills quickly on weekends, and toilets, picnic areas, barbecues and bins sit near the main parking areas.

Bring water and a bowl for the dog.

Pair it with

Silvio's Cafe and Cucina in Wheeler Heights is nearby for a bite afterwards.

When to go

Weekday mornings avoid the weekend parking crush. The shade and the flat path suit older dogs well.
