Foxglove Oval

Foxglove Oval on Foxglove Road is Mount Colah's local sports ground, and a lap of its perimeter makes an easy on-lead walk in the Hornsby Shire.

Lead rules

Hornsby Shire Council requires dogs on lead here. Keep off the playing surface during organised sport or training, and stay at least 10 metres from the playground.

The walk

Circle the oval on a mix of grass and sealed edges. Trees around the perimeter give some shade, but the field itself is open.

Parking is on site and on the street, with bins around the recreation and parking areas.

Make a day of it

Bite Me Bakehouse is close in Mount Colah, and the Mount Kuring-gai Oval Loop is a similar walk nearby.

When to go

Go outside sport sessions for the most room. The flat grass suits obedience practice and older dogs.
