Berowra Dog Park

Berowra Dog Park (Crossroads Reserve) is a fully fenced, off-leash area on the corner of Turner Road and Berowra Waters Road, right next to Berowra Heights Shopping Village. It is open 24 hours a day, and the double-gated entry makes it one of the safer fenced options on the upper North Shore for a quick, secure run.

The rules. Off-leash access runs 24 hours, seven days a week, inside the fenced boundary. Entry is via a secure double-gated airlock, so dogs cannot slip out while you manage the gate. Voice control still applies once your dog is off-leash, and you need to clean up immediately using the bags and bins provided. It is a busy local park, so a dog that is comfortable around other dogs will get more out of it.

What's there. Inside the fence you get a water tap or bubbler, a bin and bag dispenser, some seating for owners, and a large elevated wooden platform dogs use for lounging or a bit of agility play. Part of the ground is synthetic turf rather than grass, which matters more than it sounds.

Getting there. The park sits right at the Turner Road and Berowra Waters Road corner, with parking available in the shopping village car park next door. Several bus routes run along Turner Road and stop close by, so it is an easy add-on if you are already at the shops.

Nearby with the dogs. The cafes in Berowra Heights Shopping Village next door generally allow dogs at outdoor tables, so it is easy to grab a coffee before or after. If you want a longer walk rather than a fenced run, Berowra Valley Regional Park has dog-friendly trails nearby, including the Bellamy fire trail and Clarinda trail.

When to go. Sunday and Monday mornings and Friday nights tend to be the busiest windows, so aim for a Sunday evening or a weekday afternoon if you want the park closer to yourself. Good for social dogs that enjoy company, less ideal for a dog that needs a quiet, empty space.
