When to go. Weekday mornings are the quietest stretch and the best window if your dog prefers space to itself. Saturday mornings see moderate traffic but nothing like the Sunday rush. Friday evenings and Sundays are the busiest periods, and remember the Sunday 12:30 to 4:30pm exclusion applies regardless of how quiet the park looks at 12:25. For a relaxed visit with fewer dogs, aim early on a weekday or try late weekend evenings once the crowds have gone home.
