Lake Eden

Lake Eden sits in the middle of North Lakes Town Park, and the paved circuit around it runs to about 1.7 km. Dogs are welcome on a lead, and the water brings black swans, ducks and turtles close to the path.

Lead rules

City of Moreton Bay requires dogs to stay on a lead the whole way round. It is a busy shared path, not an off-leash space.

The walk

The loop is flat, wide and concrete, easy for prams and older dogs. Some stretches have overhanging trees, while others are open to the sun.

Drinking fountains with low dog bowls are spaced around the track, and bins are found throughout the park.

Max: Swans, ducks and turtles live right along the edge. A dog that chases wildlife needs a short lead here.

Getting started

Parking bays and street parking are near Lakefield Drive and the North Lakes Hotel precinct.

Make a day of it

Boardwalk Cafe and Blue Infusion are both in North Lakes for a coffee after the lap.

When to go

Early mornings are cooler on the exposed sections. It suits dogs that stay calm around birds and owners after an easy, predictable loop.
