Blue Infusion

Blue Infusion is a busy all-day cafe at 2 Flinders Parade, North Lakes, tucked into the Lakes Vista office park away from the main shopping roads, and it leans into hosting dogs more than most. The cafe advertises itself as dog friendly, and the outdoor deck is the part of the venue built for it.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome on the open outdoor deck, which has room to settle a dog beside the table without crowding the walkway. Water bowls are provided and the cafe's own posts mention doggy treats and puppuccinos for dogs that earn one. On cooler mornings staff have been known to hand out a clean blanket for your dog to lie on. Indoor seating is people only, so plan around the deck.

Worth knowing

The kitchen is known for a big breakfast, hollandaise dishes and eggs benedict, with açai bowls and thickshakes covering the other end of the menu. Live music runs on weekends, which suits a settled dog but is worth skipping for a noise-sensitive one. Hours run 7am to 2:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 2pm on weekends, so this is a breakfast-and-lunch venue rather than an all-day one.

Max: puppuccino on the deck, blanket in winter, benedict for the human. This is my kind of office park.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits at 2 Flinders Parade in the Lakes Vista precinct, a short drive from the North Lakes town centre, with free parking right at the door. Mango Hill and Mango Hill East stations are the nearest rail stops if you are arriving without a car.

Close by with the dogs

The Gardenia Dog Park and the Aurora Boulevard Park Fenced Dog Park cover off-lead runs around the suburb. For a second coffee stop, PureBred Coffee Bar is the specialty option nearby.
