Fancote Park

Fancote Park sits off Page Road in Kelmscott, over the suburb line from Orange Grove. It is a small, quiet green with a bushland edge, good for a short on-lead stroll close to the shops and the station.

Lead rules

The City of Armadale manages the park, and dogs must stay on a lead. It is not a declared off-lead exercise area.

The walk

Paved paths link the open lawn with a modern playground and a small flying fox. A quiet path traces the park's edge along a strip of local bushland, which gives dogs plenty to sniff.

Established gum trees throw real shade across the grass, and benches and bins are on site.

Getting started

Park on Page Road beside the park and the shopping precinct. There is no dedicated dog water, so bring a bottle and bowl.

When to go

Go in the cooler part of the day. It suits a quick daily outing rather than a long walk, and the shade helps in summer.
