Jasper Park

Jasper Park, at 11a Bedford Road in Pimpama, is a neighbourhood park with its own signed off-leash exercise area. Around it, paved paths make for an easy on-lead loop.

Leads and the off-lead area

City of Gold Coast lets dogs off lead inside the signed exercise area, as long as they stay under effective control. Everywhere else in the park they must be on a lead.

Dogs are not allowed in the children's playground at all.

The walk

Concrete and asphalt paths wind through open grass, past the playground and picnic shelters, with houses on every side. It is an easy neighbourhood loop on a hard surface.

Shelters and shade structures give some cover from the sun. Water on the path is not confirmed, so bring some for the dog.

Pair it with

For a fenced run, Pimpama Fenced Dog Park is the local option. Chef N Fusion is nearby when it is time to eat.

When to go

It suits families who want a play for the kids and a run for the dog in one stop. In summer, go early or late, when the open grass is cooler underfoot.
