What visitors mention
Mundlimup Timber Trail is an easy jarrah forest walk on Balmoral Road east of the Jarrahdale townsite, following an old timber tramway past a saw pit and log loading ramps. Loop options run from around 2km up to 6km, so it suits most fitness levels and makes a good half-day out with the dog.
The walk. Grade 2, easy walking on a gentle forest track with regrowth jarrah and banksia. Loop distances are reported as roughly 2-3.5km or up to 6km depending on which sign-posted option you take.
Leash status. Dogs must stay on lead the whole way. The trail is also used for 1080 pest baiting, so keeping your dog strictly on the marked path and on a lead matters here, not just for trail etiquette but for their safety.

Water. There's no water on the trail, so bring enough for yourself and your dog, especially in warmer months.
Getting there. Drive to Jarrahdale then head east on Balmoral Road; parking and a BBQ/picnic area are at the trailhead. Public transport doesn't really reach this one, so driving is the practical option. Public toilets are not confirmed on-site, so plan to use facilities in town first.
Nearby with the dogs. The Jarrahdale General Store and other local cafes typically have outdoor seating for leashed dogs. Confirm pet policies directly before you visit.
Weekdays are quiet; weekends and public holiday mornings draw more walkers and cyclists sharing the trail. June to November is the pick for wildflowers and cooler walking, and an early start beats the heat in summer.
