Pet policy
Dogs on lead in the reserve and on the Patawalonga paths unless signed otherwise (City of Holdfast Bay).
Patawilya Reserve sits on the corner of Adelphi Crescent and MacFarlane Street in Glenelg North, right across from the Patawalonga. It is the easy way onto the sealed paths around the water.
Lead rules
The City of Holdfast Bay manages the reserve. Keep dogs on lead unless a council sign says otherwise.
The walk
The reserve itself is small, with open grass and paved, sealed paths. From here you can join the Walking Loop of the Patawalonga for water views and riverside plants.
There is little to no shade in the reserve, so take sun protection and water for the dog. Bins sit on the surrounding streets, and on-street parking is on Adelphi Crescent and MacFarlane Street.
Max: No shade here means hot paws in summer. Test the path with your hand before you set off.

Head to Glenelg North Dog-Friendly Beach, or grab a bite at Little Eatery Glenelg.
