Feed Jetty Road

Feed sits right in the thick of Jetty Road, Glenelg, doing all-day breakfast, brunch and lunch from the middle of the strip, and it features by name in the precinct's own dog-friendly coffee guide. The Jetty Road traders' guide is explicit: alfresco dining, fresh water always available, and puppuccinos for the dog who earns one.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the alfresco footpath tables, lead by your chair, with the strip rolling past. Fresh water is kept up for canine guests, and the puppuccinos are a real menu extra rather than a rumour, so order one and expect an audience. Inside is off limits, but on a Glenelg morning that outdoor table is the seat you wanted anyway.

Worth knowing

It is a family-run kitchen with a broad, generous menu: reviewers single out the halloumi burger, the reuben and the big breakfast run, and there is a solid spread of salads plus vegetarian and vegan options. Coffee and matcha are both up to standard. Trade runs from around 7am to 4pm daily, so it is a daytime venue, and weekday mornings are the calm window before the strip fills.

Getting there

The cafe is on the main Jetty Road strip, an easy walk from the Moseley Square tram stop at the beach end. Street parking along Jetty Road and the side streets is time-limited and busy in summer, so the council car parks behind the strip are the reliable option.

Make a day of it

Moseley Square and the sand are a short walk down the road, both fine with a dog on lead, and the off-lead stretch at Glenelg North Dog-Friendly Beach is the proper run before breakfast. For more coffee on the same strip, Daily Fixx Cafe and Closer Coffee Shop are both dog-friendly stops, and Pav's Cafe is the somerton option down the coast.
