Daily Fixx Cafe Glenelg

Daily Fixx is a small brunch cafe on Gordon Street, a step off the Jetty Road strip in Glenelg, and it makes the local dog-friendly coffee guide for good reason: the shaded footpath tables out the front are close enough to the beach to bracket your visit with a walk either side.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath tables, not inside. Sit out front where you can keep the lead by your chair and order at the counter. Water bowls are usually about, though a travel bowl is worth carrying on a warm Gulf St Vincent morning when the strip is at its busiest.

The kitchen leans on barista coffee and an all-day brunch menu, with fresh juices and generous plates; eggs benedict, poached eggs and salmon dishes come up often in reviews, and the relaxed atmosphere gets as many mentions as the food. Hours are short, running 7am to 3pm daily, so it is a breakfast-and-lunch plan rather than a dinner one.

Getting there and parking

Gordon Street sits just off Jetty Road, a couple of minutes from Glenelg Beach on foot. Street parking on Gordon Street and the side roads fills fast on weekends and through summer, so the Jetty Road car parks with a short walk are the safer bet in peak season. The tram from the city also puts you within an easy walk.

Close by with the dogs

The beach and foreshore are a short walk west, Jetty Road itself is easy going on lead, and Wigley Reserve toward the marina makes a longer scenic loop.
