Seafaring Fools is a maritime-themed cafe and bar at 60B Broadway, Glenelg South, set on the suburb's main cafe strip a few blocks back from the beach. The defining draw for dog owners is the welcoming outdoor seating area, offering a relaxed alternative to the intense hustle of Jetty Road.

The dog setup. Dogs are permitted in the outdoor dining space only, not inside the venue. Keep your dog on a lead and under control at all times while seated outdoors.

What to order. The kitchen turns out a concise brunch menu spanning breakfast burgers, a Reuben sandwich, smashed avo, and a pork and pear salad. Matcha lattes and solid coffee round out the drinks, with mains sitting in the $20 to $40 range.

Before or after. The cafe sits within easy walking distance of Glenelg South beach, making it a practical stop to finish off a shoreline walk. Free street parking is available along The Broadway and neighbouring side streets, but check the time restrictions before settling in. For an off-leash run further along the coast, head to Glenelg North Dog-Friendly Beach.

Weekend hours run 8am to 2.30pm, weekdays 7.30am to 2pm plus Friday evening 5 to 8pm. Come for breakfast or brunch and you will have the outdoor tables to share with your dog.
