Cibo Espresso

Cibo Espresso sits right on Moseley Square at the beach end of Jetty Road, an Italian espresso bar with alfresco tables looking out over the Glenelg foreshore. The location is the point: it is a natural meeting spot after a walk, with the tram stop and the beach both on the doorstep.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor alfresco and footpath tables on the square. Indoors is for people only. Grab a square-facing table so you can keep an eye on the dog while you order at the counter. Bowls are sometimes set out, but bring your own travel bowl to be sure.

Good to know. It runs to the Italian cafe template: signature espresso blends, a big display of gelato, cannoli, cakes and pastries, plus piadinas and panini for a quick bite. The setting is busy and tourist-heavy, so it suits a dog that is comfortable with foot traffic.

Getting there. The Glenelg tram stops at the end of Jetty Road, steps from the square. Driving, there is metered and free street parking on the surrounding streets, with the Wilson Parking building on Colley Terrace as a covered option.

Nearby with the dog. The foreshore and jetty are right there for a leashed stroll, and the Patawalonga path a short walk north extends the loop. Check City of Holdfast Bay signage for seasonal on-lead beach rules.

It is busiest mid-morning and on warm afternoons; come earlier for a quieter square table. Good for a coffee and gelato stop with a beach-savvy dog.
