Geneff Park

Geneff Park is a small neighbourhood park on Padbury Circle in Sorrento, a short way back from the coast, with a timber boardwalk and a limestone staircase. Dogs are welcome on lead, which is the City of Joondalup's rule for parks not signed for off-lead exercise.

What you'll find

The walk is short, more of a wander than a workout. It passes mature shade trees, an ocean-themed adventure playground and a historic limestone rock with a commemorative plaque looking toward the coast.

The park sits high enough to catch the sea breeze, and it shares its corner with the Sorrento Community Hall.

Practical bits

Bins are around the park and hall. Water for dogs is not assured, so bring a bowl.

Street parking is on Padbury Circle near the hall. Shade is patchy, with the playground and open lawn exposed.

Make a day of it

For a longer outing, the coastal path running past Sorrento also takes dogs on lead. Grab a coffee at Village Coffee in Marmion, or add a second walk at Glengarry Park in Duncraig.

It suits a quick leg stretch for a calm dog, and families can pair it with the playground. Keep the lead short when children are about.
