Eddie Santagiuliana Way

Eddie Santagiuliana Way threads a green corridor from Cleveland toward Thornlands, mixing wetlands, creeks, mangroves and bushland with views over Moreton Bay. It is mostly flat, well signed and open to dogs on lead.

Lead rules

Redland City Council allows dogs on a lead under effective control along the track. Keep them at least 10 metres from play and fitness equipment, and out of any signed conservation areas.

The walk

Surfaces mix hardened track, concrete path and boardwalk, which keeps paws off rough ground. Tree canopy shades long sections, and the duck ponds along the way hold plenty of interest.

Water and parking

Bubblers sit near the entry points around Channel Street South, Island Street and Henry Ziegenfusz Park, and there are toilets along the network. Park near Henry Ziegenfusz Park or the other trailheads.

Make a day of it

For a swim afterwards, Raby Bay Dog Beach is off lead with direct water access. Coffee at Crusoe Cafe finishes the morning.

Easy enough for any fitness level, and the shade makes it a good summer walk for older dogs.
