Albert River Park

Albert River Park, on Distillery Road in Eagleby next door to Yatala, mixes riverside paths with two fenced off-lead yards. Walk the river on lead, then let your dog loose inside the fence.

Leads and the off-lead area

Logan City Council requires dogs on lead through the general park and along the paths. Inside the fenced enclosures, one for small dogs and one for large, they can run free.

The walk

Concrete paths wind past open grass and along the bank of the Albert River, with mature native trees shading the water views. Shade is patchy in places, so a summer midday walk can get warm.

An adventure playground, a skate bowl and barbecues make it an easy family stop too.

Water and parking

Taps sit near the dog enclosures and bins are around the main facilities. Parking is free and on site, though it fills up at busy weekend times.

Max: The taps are sometimes turned off. Bring water and a bowl so a hot dog is not left waiting after a fenced run.
