On The Run Cafe

On The Run Cafe is a casual industrial estate cafe at Unit 1/53-57 Link Drive, Yatala, feeding the workforce around the M1 corridor between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It trades Monday to Friday only, from 5am to 2:30pm, and is a practical weekday stop rather than a weekend brunch spot.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, while the indoor cafe area is generally people only. The outdoor space is plain and casual, which suits a quick feed with a settled dog on lead beside you.

The cafe has not confirmed water bowls or treats for dogs, so bring your own water as standard practice. Order at the counter and check a table is free before you sit down.

Worth knowing

The kitchen works through hot breakfast from 5am, then stacks burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads and fish and chips for lunch, with rotating daily hot meals. Coffee is barista made, service is fast, and the kitchen also runs catering platters to businesses across the Yatala estate.

Max: this is a tradie cafe with tradie hours, so get there before 2pm and on a weekday. The outdoor tables handle a calm dog fine, but the indoor room is off limits.

Getting there

The cafe sits in the Yatala industrial estate with direct M1 motorway access, which makes it an easy detour off the highway. Parking is free onsite, including wheelchair-accessible parking and entrances.

Make a day of it

For an off-leash run after breakfast, the Logan River Fenced Large Dog Park in Beenleigh is a short drive north, and the Albert River Fenced Dog Park in Eagleby is another nearby option.
