In Pomona, Cooroora Creek Park is a Noosa Shire designated off-lead area, split into separate fenced paddocks. Owners can keep big and small dogs, or bouncy and nervous ones, apart.
Leads and the off-lead area
Dogs can run off lead inside the park's designated area. Once you head onto the connecting Noosa Trail Network, keep them on a lead where signs require it.
The park
Open grass and young trees line the paddocks, with natural shade along the creek. The creek corridor and wetlands are regenerating, and earth and grass paths lead off into bush and gravel trail.
There is an outdoor fitness gym and a disc golf course, so expect other users. Carry waste bags, and bring water for the dog.

Parking is right beside the park, off Hill Street and Mill Street.
Make a day of it
Afterwards, grab a coffee at Drip Koffee House or The Scullery Cafe.
The separate paddocks make it a kind choice for small or shy dogs. Energetic dogs can go on to a longer on-lead walk on the trail network.
