The Scullery Cafe was a small, casual breakfast and lunch stop on Memorial Avenue in the middle of Pomona, in the Noosa hinterland, known for hearty big breakfasts, home-cooked burgers and pies, well-rated coffee and gluten-free options, with dog-friendly outdoor tables facing the street. Its status has changed recently: the Google listing currently marks it permanently closed, while some directories still show older details, so ring ahead or check locally before planning a stop.

Worth knowing

When trading, dogs joined owners at the front outdoor tables straight off Memorial Avenue, with indoor seating people-only, and the staff had a local name for being friendly about four-legged visitors. It ran mornings into the afternoon, with earlier starts on weekends.

Pomona still has dog-friendly options on Memorial Avenue. Pomona Village Kitchen welcomes dogs in its shaded street-side seating, Trail 518 sits in the same Memorial Avenue precinct with outdoor tables, and Drip Koffee House is another Pomona cafe on the books. The base of Mt Cooroora is a five-minute drive for a leg stretch after coffee.
