What visitors mention
Trail 518 is a well-liked cafe on Pomona's main street in the Noosa hinterland, and it is a genuine dog-friendly stop with a run of pavement tables out front. It is an easy first coffee on a day trip through Pomona.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the sidewalk tables directly outside the cafe, roughly seven of them along the front. The tables are covered, so there is shade, but seating is on the pavement, which can get warm mid-summer. As a food-service venue, dogs stay outside rather than indoors. Staff are used to dogs and will generally sort a water bowl on request.
Good to know. The coffee comes from Flying West roasters, and the kitchen is rated for its breakfast and lunch. Regulars call out the mushroom dish, the Reuben, and the pesto and parmesan arancini. It is a busy, popular spot, so a settled dog will have an easier time than an excitable one.
Getting there and parking. The cafe is on Memorial Avenue, Pomona's main street. On-street parking is usually available directly out front or close by, and the town centre is easy to reach by car when you are exploring the hinterland.
Nearby with the dogs. Station Park is close for a quick stretch, and the flat, shady footpaths make the town centre pleasant to walk. It also works as a starting point before heading on to other dog-friendly spots around Pomona.
Weekend mornings are the busiest, so arrive early if you want an outside table with room for the dog. Good for a coffee-and-breakfast stop with a dog that copes with a bit of passing foot traffic.
