Como Pleasure Grounds

Georges River views are the draw at Como Pleasure Grounds on Cremona Road in Como, where a paved loop runs past historic maritime structures and bushland. Dogs are welcome on lead.

Lead rules

Sutherland Shire Council requires dogs to be on a leash throughout the grounds. They are kept out of the playground and pool areas too, including within 10 metres of the playground.

The walk

The loop and shared paths are paved and level, and they connect to the shared path over the Como Bridge toward Oatley.

Bubblers and bins are spread around the grounds, and mature trees and picnic shelters give some shade. The open grassy rises get full sun in the middle of the day.

Getting started

Park on site or along Cremona Road. Spaces run short on weekends and busy days.

Make a day of it

For off-lead time, Carina Bay Dog Park is an unfenced off-lead area close by. Dose Oyster Bay is handy for a coffee.

When to go

Weekdays make parking easier, and mornings keep you out of the midday sun on the open lawns. The flat paths suit older dogs.
