Sydney Tourist Park

Sydney Tourist Park is a caravan and camping park at 2 Wingello Road in Miranda, close to Westfield Miranda and a short drive from the Cronulla beaches. Dogs are welcome on van and camping sites subject to management approval, which makes it one of the rare pet-possible bases inside Sydney's suburban ring.

The dog setup

Dogs are permitted on powered and unpowered caravan and camping sites, including the concrete slabs, grass sites and tent areas, but generally not in cabin accommodation. Approval from management is required, so call ahead and confirm a pet-accepted site before you book.

Dogs must be leashed at all times inside the park and owners are expected to clean up immediately. There is no dedicated off-leash run on site, so plan exercise at the parks and beaches nearby rather than expecting to unclip at the van.

Worth knowing

The park carries a camp kitchen, undercover BBQ area, amenities block and dump point, plus caravan, boat and container storage. A large share of the sites are long-term residents, so the feel is settled and residential rather than resort, and calm, well-behaved dogs fit that rhythm best.

Getting there

Wingello Road sits in central Miranda, roughly a 10 to 15 minute walk to Westfield Miranda and the train station for transit into the city. Cronulla's beaches and the Royal National Park are each a short drive, with easy highway access toward the Shire's coastline.

Make a day of it

Greenhills Beach at Cronulla is the Shire's off-leash dog beach, open to dogs in the mornings within signed hours, and the Apsley Place Fenced Dog Park at Taren Point gives you a secure fenced run close by.

Coffee with the dog is easy at Zeekas cafe in Miranda or LOAF Cronulla near the beach.
