Chirn Park

Chirn Park is a small neighbourhood park on the corner of Chirn Crescent and Turpin Road in Labrador, at the heart of a local cafe strip. It is a spot for an on-lead coffee walk rather than a long trail.

Lead rules

City of Gold Coast requires dogs to be on a lead at all times in Chirn Park. They are not allowed in the children's playground.

The walk

Concrete paths cross the park, and flat suburban footpaths lead out into the leafy streets around it. Mature trees and picnic shelters give some shade.

There are bins in the park and along the shops. Carry a water bottle if you plan to walk the streets for a while.

Getting started

There is street parking and a small car park off Turpin Road.

Grab a coffee at Papercup Coffee Labrador, then give the dog a proper run at Moreton Park Dog Park.

When to go

Mornings are best, when locals do the coffee and dog loop. It suits dogs that are relaxed around people, prams and outdoor tables.
