Bulimba Riverside Park

The paths off Love Street belong to Bulimba Riverside Park, a grassy stretch of the Brisbane River looking across to the Teneriffe woolstores. Dogs are on a lead on the paths, with a fenced off-leash area off Love Street.

Leads and the off-lead area

Brisbane City Council requires dogs to stay leashed along the park paths and open lawns. Inside the fenced dog area they can run free, and the high fence makes it a secure spot for dogs with patchy recall.

The walk

Concrete paths suit prams and wheels and run beside the grass with the river alongside. The breeze off the water helps on warm days, and the flat surface is easy on older dogs.

Bubblers, bins and shaded seating are at the dog area, and mature trees give shade in the park. Park on the streets around Love Street and Addison Avenue.

Mornings and weekends are the social times at the dog area, so go then if your dog enjoys company.
