Blakeview Town Park

There is no standalone walk called Blakeview Oval. The public space locals mean is Blakeview Town Park on Main Terrace, built around a football oval with paved paths.

Lead rules

The City of Playford requires dogs on a lead in the park.

The walk

Bitumen and concrete paths loop through open grass past the oval, shaded playgrounds and outdoor fitness equipment. It is a neat, well-kept space for a short neighbourhood walk.

The surface is smooth underfoot, easy on older dogs and fine for prams.

Make a day of it

For off-lead play, Blakes Crossing Pooch Park Fenced Dog Park is close by. For a wetland walk with birdlife, try Curtis Wetlands.

When to go

The oval is an active football ground, so quieter times suit dogs who get wound up by games. Bring water for the dog, and treat this as a quick daily loop rather than a destination walk.
