Dogs up to 20kg are welcome, one dog per room, and the policy covers dogs only. Pets must be well-mannered, house-trained and comfortable in an indoor setting, and they cannot be left unattended in the room at any time. Food and water bowls are provided for your dog's stay.

Only certain rooms take dogs, including a dedicated pet suite at the quiet end of the property near the river mouth, the beach and the local walking paths. A pet fee applies per night (roughly AU$15 according to BringFido) to cover the extra cleaning. Pet rooms are limited, so book directly through the motel and confirm you have secured one before you travel; do not assume any room qualifies.

The motel fronts Goldie Street in central Wynyard on Tasmania's north-west coast, about 15 minutes east of Burnie. Parking is on site.

Somerset Dog Beach is a short drive east for an off-leash run on the sand, and Lemon Tree Providore on Goldie Street makes an easy dog-friendly coffee stop. The Wynyard Showgrounds is another pet-friendly base in town if you need alternatives.
