SALT Beach House, Vincentia

SALT Beach House is a whole house holiday rental at 7 The Wool Road in Vincentia, on the Jervis Bay side of the NSW South Coast. It takes dogs subject to approval at booking, and it is upfront about the terms: a $120 pet fee, a fully fenced yard, and a strict no furniture rule inside.

Dogs at the house

The policy is one of the clearest you will find. You must enquire about your dog's suitability when you book, approval is not automatic, and a $120 pet fee applies. Dogs are not allowed on furniture, including beds and sofas, so pack your own pet bed and bowls because the house does not supply them. You are responsible for cleaning up all pet waste and liable for any damage. The yard is fully fenced, which gives secure outdoor space, but supervision stays with you. Nothing here is hidden in fine print on arrival, which is exactly what you want when travelling with a dog.

The house

It is a whole-house rental with a garden and BBQ, a few minutes from the Plantation Point end of Vincentia. Public listings do not spell out the bedroom count, so confirm the layout for your group directly with the booking site. The location is the practical bonus: the water, the shared path and the picnic reserves are all within reach without driving.

Getting out with the dog

Shoalhaven City Council rules matter here. Nelsons Beach at Plantation Point is the designated off leash beach, but only at set times: 4pm to 8am from October to April, and 3pm to 10am from May to September, with dogs on lead in the reserve itself and barred from playgrounds and BBQ areas. The Huskisson to Vincentia Shared Path is the on lead walk from the door. For coffee, Sea Dog at Woollamia and Portside Cafe in Huskisson both welcome dogs, and the pet friendly Jervis Bay Cabins & Camping is the fallback if the house is taken.
