Emma's Coffee Spot

Emma's Coffee Spot is a coffee van parked at 17A Beach Street, Huskisson, right by the sand at the beach end of town and next to the Huskisson Beach holiday park. Because the whole operation is outdoors on the foreshore, it is about as low-friction a coffee stop as you will find with a dog in tow: beach, grass and a walking path are all within a few steps.

The dog setup

As an outdoor van, dogs are welcome right up to the service window, and casual seating sits alongside with the adjacent foreshore reserve giving room for a dog to settle on-lead while you order. It is a cash-only van, so bring notes. Water is not a guaranteed provision, so pack a bowl for a top-up on warm mornings.

Worth knowing

The coffee is regularly rated among the best in the Jervis Bay area, with hot chocolate and a small selection of snacks and sweet treats alongside. Hours run 7am to noon, and the van is closed Wednesdays, though van hours can shift with weather and season, so a quick check before you go is worth it. Views over Jervis Bay come free with the order.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking runs along Beach Street and the nearby residential blocks, and the foreshore walking path leads straight to the van from either direction along the waterfront. From the Owen Street main strip it is a short flat walk down to the beach end of town.

Off-lead time on the sand

The Huskisson Beach foreshore between Nowra Street and Tapalla Avenue is a timed off-leash area under Shoalhaven City Council rules: off-lead from 4pm to 8am in summer (1 October to 30 April) and 3pm to 10am in winter (1 May to 30 September), on-lead at other times. Check the council signage on the day, as boundaries and hours are patrolled. The Huskisson to Vincentia shared path also starts nearby for a longer on-lead walk.
