Urunga Waters Tourist Park

Urunga Waters Tourist Park, now run as Reflections Holiday Parks Urunga, is a riverfront park at Urunga on the NSW north coast where the Kalang and Bellinger rivers meet the sea. It has powered sites, a boat ramp and a camp kitchen, and it takes dogs in a defined set of cabins and sites, which puts a dog-friendly base within reach of both the river and the beach.

A maximum of 2 dogs per cabin or site applies, and a pet fee is charged per dog per night, confirmed at booking. Book a designated pet-friendly cabin or site ahead of time rather than assuming any unit takes dogs, and keep dogs leashed and supervised around the park as is standard for Reflections properties.

The park's drawcard is its riverfront position - reviewers highlight river views, drive-through sites and the boat ramp for anyone towing a tinnie. There is no playground on site, which suits travellers without young kids and keeps the park quiet. Clean amenities and a camp kitchen cover the basics, and the riverfront sites are the ones to ask for.

Getting there and parking

The park sits at Urunga, just off the Pacific Highway between Coffs Harbour and Nambucca Heads. Drive-through sites suit caravanners arriving with a boat or van in tow, and the town centre with its shops and cafes is a short walk or drive from the park gate.

Close by with the dogs

A short drive away, Urunga Dog Beach gives your dog proper off-leash time on the sand, and Liberty Providores in town is the coffee stop. Further south, Reflections Mylestom - Holiday Park is the other Reflections park in this stretch of coast.
