Reflections Mylestom - Holiday Park

Reflections Mylestom sits in a quiet coastal village on the Mid North Coast of NSW, on a narrow strip of land between the Bellinger River and North Beach. It is one of the Reflections parks that takes dogs year-round, on selected sites and in designated dog-friendly cabins, so a beach holiday with the dog does not have to mean camping in a tent.

Dogs at Reflections Mylestom

A maximum of two dogs applies per booking, and pets must be declared when you book online or by phone. If you arrive with an undeclared dog the park can decline the booking, so it is worth doing this properly the first time. Dogs are allowed inside the designated dog-friendly cabins, including some of the deluxe options, and on selected standard powered sites; cabins that are not flagged pet-friendly are strictly off limits. A pet fee is added at the time of booking.

The Reflections dog code of conduct applies: leads under two metres whenever the dog is outside your own site or cabin, no unattended tethering, and no dogs in or around the amenities block, camp kitchen, playground or pool. You clean up waste straight away. There is a dog wash station at the amenities block, which earns its keep after a sandy session at the beach.

The park and the beach

Facilities include a swimming pool, BBQ areas, a camp kitchen, pedal kart hire and mini golf, and the park has direct access to North Beach on one side and the river on the other. Where exactly dogs can go off leash on the local sand is a council matter rather than a park one: Bellingen Shire Council designates specific off-leash zones and enforces its rules with fines, so check the signage at the beach access points near the park rather than trusting third-party listings. The riverbank walks through Mylestom itself are on-leash.

Getting there

Mylestom is a few minutes off the Pacific Highway between Urunga and Repton, roughly half an hour south of Coffs Harbour. The village is small, with a general store and boat ramp, so do the serious shopping in Urunga or Bellingen before you arrive.

Close by with the dogs

The council's designated off-leash stretch at Urunga Dog Beach runs south of the river mouth and is a short drive for a proper run on the sand. For another option in the valley, Bellinger River Tourist Park sits on the river at Repton, and Urunga Waters Tourist Park is handy for the boardwalk. When you want coffee, Liberty Providores in Urunga is the local stop.
