Raleigh Coffee & Eats

Raleigh Coffee & Eats is a family-owned cafe and takeaway in unit 6 of the small Bayldon industrial strip at Raleigh, a handful of minutes off the Pacific Highway on the NSW Mid North Coast. It exists for exactly one kind of visit: a fast, no-fuss feed with the dog, and the covered outdoor seating where dogs are welcome makes it a dependable stop whatever the coastal weather is doing.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the undercover outdoor seating area. Water provision is not a guaranteed feature here, so bring your own bowl or check with staff at the counter when you order. With highway traffic nearby and a working industrial setting, it best suits an easygoing dog that settles on a lead while you eat.

The food

The kitchen is known for homemade pies and sausage rolls made in-house, giant brekkie wraps loaded with egg and hash browns, bacon and egg rolls, and burgers built from homemade patties with a rotating Burger of the Week. There is daily-made sushi, house-made cakes, and vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options through the cabinet. The coffee uses Mothersky beans, and thickshakes and fresh fruit smoothies cover the non-coffee camp. Hours are 6:30am to 2pm Monday to Friday, closed weekends, which matters if you are planning a Saturday road trip stop.

Getting there and parking

Parking is straightforward, with street space directly out front on the Bayldon strip, and the cafe sits an easy detour from the highway between Urunga and Coffs Harbour.

While you're out there
