Pinbarren Green Lodges

Pinbarren Green Lodges is a 42-acre farmstay at 340 Pomona Kin Kin Road in the Noosa hinterland, run by hosts Simon and Sarah, with self-contained cabins looking over green paddocks and a full program of farm life: daily animal feeding tours, pony and horse riding, egg collecting, kayaking on the dam and evening campfires. Guests with young children rate it exceptionally highly for the hands-on hosting.

The dog question

Read this section carefully before booking with a dog. Some listings describe the property as pet-friendly, and the farm's own social posts feature a resident rescue dog, but the Stayz listing for Lime Lodge explicitly states no pets are allowed. The reason is a working farm: horses, ponies, donkeys, sheep and chickens share the grounds, and livestock and visiting dogs do not mix. Ask Simon and Sarah directly before assuming your dog is welcome anywhere on the property.

There is one genuine animal exception: guests can bring their own horses on holiday, with individual shelters, water and paddocks provided. If your travel crew includes a horse rather than a dog, this is one of the few holiday stays in Queensland set up for it.

The lodges

Accommodation is a set of private self-contained lodges, including Frog Lodge and Lime Lodge, each overlooking the paddocks and hinterland ranges. Prices are typically based on four people sharing a lodge, and there is space for kids to burn off energy between feeding rounds.

Getting there

The property is at 340 Pomona Kin Kin Road, Pinbarren QLD 4568, about 10 to 15 minutes from Pomona and roughly half an hour from Noosa. In Pomona, The Scullery Cafe and Drip Koffee House are the local coffee stops, and The Historic, Pomona Hotel is another stay option in the next town. If your dog cannot come to the farm, Cooroy Caravan Park is a caravan-park alternative nearby.
