WILKS PARK Camping Area

Wilks Park Camping Area is a free, self-contained campground on the Murrumbidgee River in North Wagga Wagga, popular with caravan and camper trailer travellers, and it allows dogs to stay overnight with you. It is a simple, no-frills stopover rather than a resort-style stay, and its biggest drawcard for dog owners is the off-leash area right on site.

The pet policy. Dogs are welcome to camp overnight with their owners, but they must be kept under control at all times. The eastern side of the park is a designated off-leash area, so you can let your dog run once you are set up. The place. This is a free, self-contained campground for RVs, camper trailers and caravans only, no tents. There are no showers, but toilets are clean and have flushing. There is a dump point on site, and it is an easy walk to town from the campground.

Location & nearby. You are on the doorstep of the Wilks Park Off Leash Area for exercise, and it is a short walk or drive across the river into Wagga Wagga's town centre for cafes and supplies.

Good for travellers with a self-contained rig who want a free, dog-friendly base with an off-leash paddock attached. Not suited to tent campers, since only RVs, camper trailers and caravans are permitted.
