Narrung Street is a fully fenced off-leash area in South Wagga, on the southern edge of the Wiradjuri Golf Centre driving range. It is a long, narrow strip built for straight-line sprints rather than open social play, which suits high-energy dogs and sighthounds well but feels tight quickly when busy.

The rules. Dogs may be off-leash inside the fence and must stay under effective voice control. Dogs should be on-lead until the gate is closed behind you. Bring your own waste bags and pick up immediately. Check the fence line for gaps before letting your dog loose, as the perimeter has had maintenance issues reported.

What's there. Fenced perimeter and waste bins, and not much else. There are no water taps, so bring your own water and bowl. Shade and seating are both very limited, which matters in summer.

Getting there. It is on Narrung Street, South Wagga Wagga, near the Narrung and Moorong Street intersection, roughly a 5 minute drive from the CBD. Street parking is available along Narrung Street.

Watch-outs. The narrow, linear shape means the space can feel crowded even with only a few dogs, and there is no shade for hot days.

Walk the fence line before you unclip, and carry water in, because there is no tap on site.

Quietest mid-morning or early afternoon on weekdays. Early mornings and late afternoons, especially weekends, are the busy windows. If it is too crowded, the larger open spaces at Wilks Park in North Wagga are a good fallback.
