Rocky Paddock Campground sits deep in the Mount Crawford pine plantation, about an hour from Adelaide, with 30 sites spaced out under the trees. Getting there. Access is via Warren Road then Tower Road into the forest, off Gordon Road. Parking is on-site next to your tent or camper, and it is free once you have booked. A 2WD is fine for the main tracks.

Who it suits. Good for owners after a proper bush camping trip rather than a polished caravan park, and for dogs who are happy on a lead around a campsite rather than off-leash. Less suited to nervous dogs unused to campfires, other campers, or wildlife rustling through the pines at night.
