God's Hill Wines - Authentic Italian Restaurant/Cellar Door

God's Hill Wines is a family run cellar door and Italian restaurant on a 30 acre vineyard at 7A Morphett Road in Lyndoch, just off the main Barossa Valley Way, with Ennia Cucina doing the food. Dogs are welcome across the open outdoor areas, which makes this a comfortable spot for a long vineyard lunch with a settled dog rather than a quick tasting dash.

The dog setup

Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the outdoor and lawn areas, with vineyard views from the tables. Seating is limited and the venue runs a small-batch, family operation, so phone ahead and mention the dog when you book an outdoor table. Bring your own water bowl and a mat, and keep the lead on near the tables, since the grounds double as a working vineyard.

The wine and the food

The cellar door pours the family's natural, low sulphite wines in a relaxed, rustic setting, built around small-batch production rather than a long wall of labels. Ennia Cucina, run by a father and son team, does the Italian half: house made pasta, traditional pizza, antipasto platters and a proper tiramisu to finish. Food service and tastings generally run Thursday to Sunday, so check before you drive out midweek.

Pepsi: book the lawn table for lunch and let the dog settle while the platters land. It gets busy on weekends and the outdoor seats go first.

Getting there

The address is 7A Morphett Road, Lyndoch, a short turn off the Barossa Valley Way, with on-site parking at the cellar door. Lyndoch is the southern gateway town to the Barossa, so it works as either the first stop coming from Adelaide or the last one heading home.
